Ep. 72 | Cooked Nervous System: Why Your Body Rejects Your Health Protocols

EPISODE TRANSCRIPT

Hey Legends. Welcome back to another episode. Today, I wanna go straight headfirst into why all of the biohacking that you might be doing may not actually be addressing your nervous system issues. You may be an absolute bloody legend who values health so, so highly. This could play out as. You have daily sauna and ice bath sessions.

Maybe you train really consistently. You take great care of your physical body. Maybe you've even had a blood test done to see what the crap is going on inside your body. Wanna see what different levels you might be lacking in as far as vitamins and minerals. Maybe you have this great lengths of. Supplements that you take to try to aid in getting to optimal levels in every area of your life. Maybe you also, uh, into meditation and breath work, and maybe you've even tried plant medicines. There's so many different ways that you could try to optimize your health and try to live as the healthiest version of you.[00:01:00]

None of these things I wanna say straight up are wrong. These are awesome. I do many of these myself, so I'm not putting them down. It's just there seems to be a paradox around the fact that some of the healthiest people on the planet can also have the most cooked nervous systems, which does sound like it kind of cancels it out because if you feel cooked in your nervous system, you don't feel that healthy.

Even if on all the blood tests and all the ways that you would test your health, you would come off as awesome. But if you are cooked, if you're feeling absolutely fried in your nervous system, which could mean. Completely anxious all the time, so fidgety and nervous and tense.

You can't sit still. Maybe you've become a workaholic because as soon as you sit still, it's just like this anxious feeling takes over you. Maybe you're the type that has to constantly multitask and not because that's awesome to be able to be, you know, a high performer or achieve a lot

Or just be really efficient in everything that you do. Instead, it's that you actually cannot sit still and just focus [00:02:00] on one thing for too long before you're like, I'm feeling anxious, I'm feeling nervous. So I wanna speak to this because this is quite a paradox.

You may have this constant like anxious, nervous feeling that just it's never fully being released. This could play out as you feeling so anxious as soon as it starts to get dark or as soon as nighttime starts to set in. That is quite common, where like the anxious states just amp up and kind of like take over in the evening. Another thing is. Sleep gets really affected. So you might be the type of individual that between like two to 4:00 AM you are wired, you are wide awake, even if your body is exhausted and tired and all you want is to just bloody get a good night's sleep.

You might be the type that just wakes constantly, or especially between two to four is so common for someone that he's highly anxious. Even if you don't label it as anxiety. This is the thing I'm finding. You could be the type of individual that, as I said, values health so highly. Maybe you don't like labels, especially as a listener of this podcast, you [00:03:00] probably don't like having labels on yourself, but you probably also are the type that stays up at night.

Googling are my symptoms. Anxiety? Do I have anxiety? Even if you wouldn't wanna label it as that, and the sleep, the cooked sleep, the feeling anxious of night is just compounding and it's making you feel like, what the crap is wrong with me. So what I wanna speak to is the fact that the problem is not the things that you're doing, they're not the problem. All these things that you're doing to try to add to your health, to try to add to you feeling better, these are actually awesome. The problem isn't the practices themselves and the routines and all the biohacking things.

It's, it's the paradigm. It's the entire self-op optimization industry. It's, it's actually built on teaching you that your body is a machine. for instance, if you input X, you're gonna get Y, which is another way of saying it is like, take this supplement, fix this deficiency that you may think that you have or follow this [00:04:00] particular protocol, achieve this particular outcome. In the core of all of this is actually control. It promises control, which is very seductive for someone like us who values health, who has a lot of discipline, a lot of consistency in our lives. That is a seductive thing. And again, I'm not saying this is bad, I'm gonna bring all angles to this, but it seduces us in the fact that if we're feeling cooked and we feel a little bit out of control, that's very unnerving for somebody like us.

Therefore, when we feel like we have some form of control over being able to fix it or being able to sort whatever it is. That means that that gives us control. But from a direct correlation between our level of discipline and the results that we are gonna get, that is why we can be so disciplined with the ice baths, with the saunas, with the breath work, with the supplements, with the take melatonin before bed.

All these, you know, blue light blocking glasses, whatever it is, It gives us a level of control over, if I do this, I [00:05:00] will get this particular outcome. Again, this is not a bad thing. I'm not suggesting that at all. But what nobody's actually telling you is that your body is not just a biochemical machine.

I wanna make this clear. It's not just that otherwise you wouldn't be feeling anxious as fuck all the time, or you wouldn't be feeling fidgety all the time. You wouldn't be feeling nervous all the time, or like as soon as things get still, like a pressure cooker about to explode or like, it's almost like your nervous system is constantly looking without you consciously knowing it.

It's constantly looking for. What do I have to prepare for? What do I have to preempt? That's what it can feel like. It's because you are more than just a biochemical machine. As I said, your system, your nervous system, your body actually holds and stores every single experience that you have ever had in your life.

Every single experience, every emotion that has not been properly digested, that has not been properly processed, is also stored in your [00:06:00] body. Every pressure that you've absorbed in your lifetime, every emotion that's been suppressed and every life experience that has been suppressed because it was too uncomfortable, it was too much too soon, or it was not enough protection at the time.

All these things were suppressed at some point in our lives in order for us to be able to keep performing. That's what it kind of comes down to for high performers or people that are very ambitious, people that are very disciplined. We had to keep moving. We had to keep performing. And I'm not saying that we've had terrible upbringings.

I'm not saying that we could all come from such different walks of life and have very different experiences. I've had a beautiful life, a beautiful upbringing, so I'm not suggesting that. It's not, this is not a woes me thing, but there's still things in our lives that aren't properly digested. If we were purely a biochemical machine, we would not be experiencing the level of anxiousness or anxiety or whatever it is that you may be experiencing.

You would not be experiencing that [00:07:00] because you're doing everything right to try to solve it. You're eliminating all of the obvious shit. And the reason why I'm talking about this is because this is my line of work. If I had clients come to me and they were lazy, like beyond extreme eight, McDonald's 24 7, like three meals a day, never moved their bodies.

I. I did not ever take a single ounce of care on, on their health. I would not work with them because it's like, you know what? Go and eliminate all of the obvious shit. Start to get some discipline in your life. Start to take some responsibility for what you can, and then come and see me and we will address what is left.

That's not you. That's not you and me. Okay? We take such high care of our health, of our body. We are self-responsible. We are self-led. We don't need someone to come and save us. This is very, very different, but we still have things stored in our bodies. We still have life [00:08:00] imprints stored that was suppressed

and honestly, the most empowering thing that I can possibly say to you right now truly is that. These life imprints, these stored emotions that we have not fully digested. Even if it's not consciously, often it is unconscious. All of those things that are stored in our body do not give a flying fuck about our iron levels, about our testosterone levels, about how many ice baths and saunas we've done this week about whether we've been disciplined in our exercise routine this week.

Does not give a flying fuck about any of that. It just wants to be digested and come to a full completion,And I actually find that this can be the most empowering thing because it gives hope to people who are like, I've tried everything. I've literally tried everything. Like everything. I've had clients like this where they're like, I've literally done every blood test, every scan, I've been to doctors, I've been to health coaches, they've all tried to help me and all of [00:09:00] them have have helped to a degree, but I'm still feeling anxious.

I still have unexplained pains. I still can't sleep at night. I feel like a pressure cooker about to explode. And when you actually get to the root cause and you are able to. Address the root cause. Things turn around rapidly because if we think of this from a nervous system lens for a second, at some point in our life when we were feeling unsafe or embarrassed, we felt shame. We felt fear, whatever. It was our nervous system in that moment. We taught it without realizing it to constantly be on like a fight flight mode, to be constantly scanning, constantly scanning for threats, constantly scanning so that we don't feel that shame again.

So we don't feel that fear again. That's why today you might have constant tension in your shoulders and it's not a magnesium deficiency. You've probably ruled that out already. You probably, I don't need to tell you that. But it's actually your [00:10:00] body is still preparing for some form of like impact, because at some point in your life you realized again, it could be unconscious.

That if you let your guard down, you might be blindsided by something that's very uncomfortable. This is where someone can have a constant mind that just won't shut off. It's that constant racing thoughts going on. And it amps up at nighttime. As soon as it gets dark. That's not a melatonin issue 'cause you've also likely ruled that one out.

It's actually, again, your nervous system is just scanning for threats because somewhere along the line it learned, your nervous system learned that safety required you to be hypervigilant. That was how you eliminated threats. Maybe it's showing up right now as irritability, where you just feel so irritable and the smallest things are getting to you and and you like it just comes out of nowhere. I have no idea why. I can almost guarantee it's not stress that's going on. It's not that, oh, I'm so stressed and I'm just [00:11:00] irritable.

It's actually that your body's alarm system. Is firing because something in your environment, in that moment when you felt irritable, matched likely a pattern that it associated with danger years ago. And that danger again, doesn't have to be like a physical imminent threat. It could be an emotional threat.

And I wanna make it clear, these aren't psychological patterns. This isn't just all in your head and it's not always correlated with what's going on in your life. Again, this is why I speak to people who are eliminating all of the obvious shit because you're already doing the groundwork and so you're like, the way that I'm feeling doesn't make sense for my life.

I have a good life, or I have a level of success, or, you know, I've got a beautiful relationship or, or. My business is thriving. My health is actually really good on the outside. This is why it can be very frustrating for an individual, and if this resonates with you, very frustrating for you because again, you are doing everything that you possibly can and you're like, this doesn't make sense for my [00:12:00] life.

It's because it's not in your head. It doesn't necessarily match up with what's going on in your life. This is structural. This is nervous system stuff, and no amount of green juices, ice baths, cleansers, you know, meditations can actually touch the original root cause And this is where the whole like biohacking industry misses the mark, even though again, it's incredible. I'm not suggesting don't do all those things, keep doing them. But the biohacking industry does miss the mark because your body doesn't just hold chemistry. It holds your history, holds your life history, the stories, the imprints, the fear, the shame, the guilt, it holds it all.

And I just wanna briefly talk about some of the right things that you're likely doing that that aren't actually getting to the root cause, though. So when we go and jump into an ice bath, which I'm all for. Again, I'm not suggesting don't do them. I, I think they're great for our health. Fantastic for our health.

I'm not against them [00:13:00] at all. But what actually happens is our bodies in that moment are, you know, going through an experience of acute stress. Basically, it forces us to adapt. This is why I love ice baths, because they also teach us to train our minds that it's okay, we're gonna get through this because if you can sit, let's say you sit in an ice bath for five minutes.

You go through a cycle like I've done them. I know I've sat in ice baths for five minutes and when you first get in it for the first like minute, your body is like, what the hell? Your mind is going off like a rocker of like, I just wanna get outta here. Get out, abort, abort, get the crap out. And as you sit there and you just breathe, you're actually teaching your body, it's okay, we're gonna get through this.

It's okay. This is why I'm all for them. But what can happen is as we're in that ice bath and we're in that acute stress mode, it obviously forces us to adapt and it builds that physical resilience. Great, amazing. But if your nervous system is already in that fight flight mode, like that chronic [00:14:00] stress response, you are always in fight flight.

You're always feeling anxious. You cannot sit still. By sitting in an ice bath continually, you are actually adding another stressor to a system that is already maxed out. Your body, your nervous system is already maxed out. So to give you an example, another way to correlate this is it's like trying to run for a marathon while you are actively bleeding.

Now, obviously you'd be like, well, we don't wanna do that. Well, no, but if you address the root cause and you fix, and you stop the the bleeding. Then you can continue with the marathons. This is why I'm saying don't stop doing ice, ice baths. They're not bad for you, but if you're doing them to just heal a nervous system, it's not getting to the root cause.

Once you address the root cause, then the ice baths add extra layers of health onto your life.

This is the same that you see with plant medicine journeys. So they can create profound insights for people, right? Where, where you know, you, you just get such an awareness of life and what's out there and of yourself and it can be [00:15:00] profound for individuals, but. If you are in a constant fight flight mode, if you are constantly anxious, if you're constantly nervous and can't sit still, and I'm not gonna go on about it, we've said this a million times, if you fit that archetype of someone that's pretty anxious, even if you don't label yourself as that, you just, you just fidgety all the time. Without actually addressing the, your structure without actually addressing your nervous system and the patterns that maybe got installed years ago or even recently, if they're not addressed in the first place,Those insights from plant medicine journeys, they don't actually create lasting change in your body, in your physiology. This is where you see people that maybe they go to one plant medicine journey and they have these awesome experiences and it, and it's like, wow, that was awesome. But then again, they go back to their normal life and not a lot has actually changed, and they're kind of back at square one, and then they keep going back and doing these plant medicine journeys, but they have to get more and more intense.

It's like. They're chasing [00:16:00] this increasingly intense experience to try to recreate the shift that they got in the very first one because nothing's being addressed from a nervous system level. Even. Actually, meditation is another one, and I'm all for meditation. I think do as much meditating as you can. I think it's really, really good for us, but it can also become very performance based for somebody who fits this archetype.

Rather than it actually being a true reset, it becomes almost performative of like, okay, I've, I've made my five minutes. Oh, I did six minutes today. Well, the whole time you're just in fight flight, right? The whole time you're just anxious and not actually achieving anything, but you did an extra minute of sitting in fight flight.

So look, here's the truth that honestly, I think no one's really talking about much in the industry, but all these tools, they're managing your symptoms. They're not necessarily getting to the actual root cause. Now, without them, you would likely feel much worse. This is why I say they're not bad, they're awesome, and don't [00:17:00] stop them.

That's not at all what I'm suggesting. But with only them, you'll never actually feel fundamentally different because you'll find that you'll get in an ice bath and after you feel elated, you feel amazing. Maybe you feel amazing even for a couple hours, but then after a while you come back to that set point.

It hasn't changed the anxiety, it hasn't changed the anxious states, it hasn't changed. That constant fidgety nervousness, that tension that's always there, or maybe it hasn't necessarily changed your sleep patterns. Again, without them, you would feel worse. That's the thing. Keep doing them, but only with them you'll never feel fundamentally different. So let's talk about what your body's actually saying. Your body is incredibly intelligent. It's not broken. This is my biggest message. It's not broken. Doesn't need someone to come and fix it. It's actually responding. Exactly. It was programmed to by your life experiences by those very imprints. That I've spoken about before, that it is still stored in your body.

[00:18:00] That anxious feeling, that anxiety, it's not random, it's not something to get rid of. My message is very different to what's out there. A lot of people say, oh, anxiety's bad. You gotta get rid of it. I disagree. It's just sending a message that's literally what it's doing, and it's not random. It's not like a cloud that just comes and then just goes, and you just never know when it's gonna come.

Nothing about it is random. That tension that you feel all the time isn't just because you lead a very busy life, just like your sleep, right? The disrupted sleep, the waking between two and four, that constantly happens. That isn't just a modern life. It's what a lot of people say. It's just because we live a modern life and look, obviously, yes, we live in a modern world.

There's a lot of things that affect our health, that can affect our sleep, that can affect our focus. I get that. But what you are dealing with is not just from that, it's from much more, and it's from what's stored in your body.and as I said before, it's, it's like your body is wired for protection mode. It's on guard. Your nervous system is constantly on guard. Scanning for what could go wrong, what you [00:19:00] need to preempt. These are actually specific communications from your body, from your nervous system. It's just running on outdated protection protocols.

You could call them. And that's where I say it doesn't matter how many cold, uh, you know, plungers ice baths, supplements, you take breath work sessions, you doThey simply can't override these patterns long term. Yes, they will give you a release. Yes, they will give you maybe a sense of elation for maybe even a couple of hours, but they are still symptom managing. They're not actually addressing what the root cause is that your nervous system is still trying to protect you against. And I want you to think about this. If your body is still carrying an imprint, like a life experience, a memory, even if it's unconscious, that is if you just let your guard down, you're gonna end up getting blindsided.

Why would it ever fully relax? Like of course your nervous system's not gonna relax just because now you're doing a particular breathing routine. Like the, the [00:20:00] threat isn't protecting you against a lack of oxygen. It's not that you are lacking oxygen, and that's why you need to do this particular breathing routine, and that's gonna fix everything.

That's not what your nervous system is protecting you against. It is perceiving danger. That comes from surrender in that moment, if you feel like unconsciously, if I let my guard down, I'm gonna be blindsided from somebody, then the danger that your nervous system is trying to protect you from is what comes from surrender.

That's what it's trying to protect you against. Not a lack of oxygen, or if your body is carrying a life imprint, a life story that you need to constantly be on edge to be safe. You've gotta be vigilant. You gotta always be scanning. Why would. A perfect diet routine ever convince your nervous system to stand down like that makes no sense whatsoever.

You could go and be a vegan, you could do the carnivore diet, you could do a keto diet. You could do a X, Y, Z diet, right? And maybe these all add to our [00:21:00] lives, and I think it's awesome that we look into the best ways to optimize our diets. I'm all for that. Health is a very high value of mine. But if your nervous system, as I said, is.

Always on guard. It's always vigilant. It's always trying to protect you. Why would eating a healthy diet tell and teach our nervous system that it's now safe to stand down? It makes no sense because the threat that your nervous system is trying to guard you against is not nutritional. It's a perceived threat of danger of not being on high alert.

Your body, your nervous system thinks if I'm not on high alert, I can get hurt. If I'm not on high alert, I am unsafe. It's not that your nervous system thinks If I don't get the right diet, I cannot feel safe. Your symptoms aren't the problem, and this is what I really wanna speak to. A lot of [00:22:00] these things are symptom managing, but in the best way possible.

That's a much better way to symptom manage, which is why I keep saying I'm not against any of these things. They are awesome, but your symptoms aren't the problem. Your symptoms are your body's solution to a problem that it thinks it still has. So until you actually address the root cause, we choose again, those stored imprints, those unprocessed or undigested experiences that are still driving these protective patterns. That's what's underneath it. And if those stored imprints are not addressed, then we keep hitting the same wall, even though we're doing everything right.

Even though every single thing that we are doing to try to be the healthiest, happiest, wealthiest person on the planet. Even if that's our goal and we're doing everything right on paper, we can still come up against that same wall continually because we're simply symptom managing and the [00:23:00] symptoms are not the root cause.

So I wanna talk to you about what actually works. And it's not about optimizing more, it's not about adding more protocols. It's not about pushing harder. It's not about that. It's not about, let's see what else we can add to our already crazy routines. What it actually requires is recalibration.

And what do I mean by that? What the crap are you talking about, Holly? This actually means working directly with the nervous system, which is the very thing that's holding those patterns in the first place. It means identifying the specific imprints that are driving those protective responses and unwinding them at the source.

Let me make it clear. 'cause if you are like, okay. So you are saying it links back to life, imprints, it links back to, you know, maybe things I've been through conscious unconsciously, they're still storing my body. And you're like, okay, so you are saying that's what it is, getting to the root cause of those.

Does that mean I need to sit and talk about the past for 20 years? Does [00:24:00] that mean I need to, you know, go through every single thing in my life that hurt and that was painful and that was shameful and that made me angry? No, that's not at all what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about talk therapy, endless processing. I'm not talking about spiraling in our life history, in our life story and reliving every single trauma, whether that's big or small, or everything that was difficult. No recalibration is actually precise. Targeted nervous system work, it actually speaks directly to your body's protective mechanisms that are going on. So what does that actually look like? Now, first I'm probably going to offend you by saying I don't care about your story and not in a rude way. Just stick with me for a second. Yes. In order to get to the root cause, we get to the original experience that created that protective mechanism in the first place. So let's just say it was something from childhood where we felt intense [00:25:00] shame for something that we faced or something that we went through. Yes. Obviously, going back to that original time in our life.

and being able to experience those emotions as they come up obviously helps to digest those from our body. So from the very cells in our body. But that doesn't mean you have to sit there and talk about it. I don't care about the story. That's not what it's about. So how do you do this? This looks like identifying what your body is actually protecting against. That's, that's the first thing. Not intellectually and not on a mind level, on a body based nervous system level. And yes, there are ways to do this. This is what I do with my clients. We get your body to respond to what is still stored, what beliefs are still stored in your body, what is the specific danger pattern that is stored that you are still guarding against?

Unconsciously, I don't care about the story. It's not the story that's important. It's what emotions are linked with that story. What emotions are [00:26:00] linked with that past life, history with that life experience with whatever it is that you've been through in your life. There is a significant moment in life that created that protective mechanism in your nervous system, and it's not the.

Story that's important. It's not the experience that's important. And I don't mean to be rude by saying that, but that's not what it is. It's the emotions that are linked with that, that are still undigested. So first you identify what is stored in your body from a belief system, from an identity level that you think in your mind you might be like, I believe I have self-worth, but your body might be like, Hmm, not quite.

You might say, I feel safe to relax, I feel safe to be still. And your body's like, no, we don't. There are things that you consciously might have moved on from in your life that your body hasn't, and it's still guarding against it today. So that's the first step. The first step is [00:27:00] completely bypassing the conscious mind and identifying what is still stored in your body, that your body is still guarding you against.

Then you use, what I use is timeline regression work, and this means it's not about reliving events, but it, again, it's to locate precisely where and when these protective patterns were first installed. So it's not going to, let's say you have a belief stored in your body of it's, I don't feel safe in the world.

Right? That could be a common one. I don't feel safe in the world. Where did that first begin? I don't need to know every single time in your life that that was reinforced. But the original, the original root cause. And we get there through timeline regression work. Again, not for shits and giggles, not to relive it, not to spiral in a story for five hours and talk about it.

No, it's precise work. We get in and we feel whatever emotions come up. 'cause trust me. And this is the thing, as soon as you get there, emotions come up. Your body will [00:28:00] naturally trigger emotions that you didn't even know you still held within your body, within the very cells in your body. So through timeline regression work, we then address the original root cause and you can feel it in your body.

Then we work with the it's energy and physical architecture of your nervous system. 'cause there's both, there is no denying. Yes, we are a physical form. Right. You can touch yourself or in a physical body. We also have an energetic body. This is not woo woo. This is science. We are all atoms. We all have energy.

We are energy. Right? That is a, that's a fact. So we work with the physical and also the energetic body, the energetic part of who we are and of the nervous system. And we unwind these patterns. And I use a modality called spinal energetics, and that doesn't require talking. You don't have to talk about it.

You don't have to talk about the past. You don't even have to talk about what the crap you went through. You don't have to say a word if you don't want to, but through, uh, spinal energetics, your body would naturally [00:29:00] unwind whatever those tension patterns are and where they're held. And sometimes for people that comes with emotions and you can lay there and be like, I don't even know why I'm crying, but I just feel like crying.

All of a sudden. That is your body digesting the stored emotions that were in the cells of your body. It's incredible. Yeah. And then another way that I use is through nervous system tracking. So none of this is, oh, let's just see what happens. None of this is, oh, hopefully we get some changes out of this. We see at the end, no, I track everything. I'm all about data. I wanna see, and I know you wanna see 'cause you're that type of individual. What's actually changing week to week? What's changing? So I work with people 12 weeks, one-on-one. This is the very work that I do.

This is why I'm so passionate about it. You can probably hear it in my voice because you can go, and I've had clients like this. You can literally go from rating anxiety levels, anxious levels. Whatever it is that you are facing of like a 10 out of 10, [00:30:00] like 10 being the worst, and you are like, I feel it every day.

I feel so anxious. I feel cooked. Some people have said, I feel so fried. I feel like a pressure cooker that's about to explode and like I'm scared of what's gonna happen in my life if I keep going like this. Will it continue to affect maybe my relationships, my business, my finances? For some people, it plays out, is constantly spending money.

They feel so anxious the moment they receive money. Even if they make an awesome income, they have to blow it constantly. Always spending, always using credit cards or you know, just feeling impulse control issues when it comes to money. For others, it can be with marijuana or vaping or alcohol or phones.

Phones is a big one. Like you cannot walk down the street without holding your phone and having to scam, walking into a cafe, having to do something like you can't just be without constantly doing. This is all the kind of stuff that people come to me with, and it can turn around very quickly because [00:31:00] you have eliminated all the obvious shit.

The stuff that is left is what is actually in your body, which is the root cause. And when you get very precisely to the root cause, and you allow your body to feel those emotions that naturally arise from that, from that experience that that have been stored without you even knowing. Right. When you feel those emotions and you allow them to be, without having to get rid of them, they just simply go on their own.

They come sometimes feeling like a bit of an explosion. You like just wanna, you almost, like, for instance, if it's something that's linked to anger, you almost will wanna scream or you almost be like, I just feel such rage within my body all of a sudden, and then within a couple minutes it's gone. Your system has digested that in the very cells of your body.

And that's incredible because again, for someone that's doing all the right things externally, for someone that is taking such incredible care of their health, [00:32:00] and it does not make sense why they still feel the way that they feel. It is extremely frustrating and debilitating to be like, it makes no sense.

I'm doing everything right. This is why my heart goes out to you because you are doing everything right, but. You are symptom managing without realizing it. You're symptom managing with incredible symptom managing mechanisms. Incredible. Keep doing the ice baths, the breath work, the meditation, taking care of your diet, doing all the exercise.

Don't stop any of them, but imagine how incredible you can feel when you also couple that with getting to the root cause, and finally, your nervous system gets the signal. I can stand down. All of a sudden, all of those biohacking, incredible routines that you've got going on actually start working better.

That's the beauty of it. Your meditation will deepen your sleep actually improves Your [00:33:00] recovery between workout sessions accelerates. Not because you're trying harder, not, not because of that. 'cause you're not. But it's because your system is no longer fighting against its own protective mechanisms that have been installed probably since childhood, to be honest, probably for a long time.

And you could have gone your whole life running from it unconsciously and have gotten by really well, and then all of a sudden it catches up with you. And this is why the physical body is the last, the last place that it shows up. 'cause it shows up first on an energetic level. And it shows up on like an emotional and a mental level.

And then as soon as it hits the physical body, it wakes us the fuck up because we value health. We can get by feeling fried in our minds. We can get by feeling fried in our emotions for a period of time, but as soon as it hits our physical body, and you are someone that values health so highly, like you [00:34:00] train, you, eat well, all those things, that's when it's like, holy fuck, I've gotta sort this out.

And we try to fix it with more health things, which are awesome. But again, they don't get to the root cause. But when you get to the root cause, all those awesome things that you're doing become even more magnified in the best way possible because your system, your nervous system, is no longer on guard like it used to be.

It's no longer fighting against its own protective mechanisms. And then the result isn't just symptom management like it is now. It's actually like a fundamental shift in your baseline state.

You can't outwork out supplement or out discipline.

A nervous system that is still wired for protection

And then that just feels like it's being compounded because you're continually trying to do more, and it's just adding more and more pressure to a system that honestly, your nervous system's maxed out. This is why you could be the most [00:35:00] optimized person out there and likely be one of the most. One's in desperate need of recalibration at a nervous system levelbecause the reason why I say this is you've likely gotten so damn good at overriding your body's signals at being able to push through. And I do wanna speak to this because. People who value health so highly are likely very disciplined, very consistent, very like structured awesome in routines and the type that can keep going no matter what.

I often see my clients as the type that someone else's hitting a hundred percent of what they can handle is likely my client's like 120, 130%. For real. What you can handle is so much more than what the average population can handle with That is an awesome strength, but it can also become a real Achilles heel because you can become incredible at overriding your body signals, at pushing through, at [00:36:00] just managing symptoms. But with that can come a loss of ability of being able to hear what your nervous system is actually trying to say to you. Because it's constantly speaking. So I just wanna say the truth is you don't need more. You don't need to optimize harder. You don't need to take your structure to be even more rigid, even more controlled.

And I'm saying that because that should bring relief in the fact that even though you're doing all the right things, you don't need to go harder in them. You need to address the root, you need to address the stored imprints, the unprocessed pressure that is still dictating your nervous system's.

Baseline state, that's what it is. It's that baseline because at the moment, as I said, you come out of the ice bath and feel elated and feel incredible, maybe for a couple hours, but then you come back to your baseline state that is cooked, that is in protective mode, that is scanning for threats that makes you feel like you [00:37:00] cannot be still.

And you always come back to that baseline, at some point, you will come back to that baseline because that is your baseline. Because again, it all those other things are just managing the symptoms. They're not addressing that baseline state. And what addresses it is recalibration. It's not more biohacking.

And until you make that shift and that this may be a real aha moment for many of you, but until you make that shift, you'll keep hitting that same wall no matter how disciplined you are. And you are disciplined. You are built different. All of my clients built different, disciplined, consistent. You're built different.

You're the ones doing everything right. You're always optimizing. You are always researching the next protocol. What's the next thing I can do to add, to be even better? To be an even better version of myself, to have my health go to the next level. You will likely be constantly researching, which is a good thing.

Don't stop that. But you likely also still feel like there's just something fundamentally [00:38:00] off, and this is why. And again, you're not broken. Your approach is just incomplete. And so I just wanna say if this has been a massive light bulb, if you're listening to this and you're like, holy shit, she's speaking to me. You are what my work is exactly created for. It's for you. You are the very individual. Whether you're a male or you're a female, you are the very individual that I have in mind with everything that I create in my business.

For real. You are it, and it's because again, you're disciplined, you're consistent, you're built different. You're a motherfucking legend in my book, and you have eliminated all the obvious shit. You are doing what it takes to try to sort your health out, even though you're a healthy person. Let me make that clear.

You are a healthy person and people likely revere your level of health. Even if you feel like there's still room for improvement, even if you're the type that's like, oh. I could be fitter or I could be leaner, I could be stronger. I'm not doing enough. You likely are the type that are trying everything to, to take it to the next [00:39:00] level.

My work is built for you because you won't stop. You will keep trying to find solutions. You will not give up,And I want you to know there's just one piece of the puzzle that is the giant piece of the puzzle that affects your entire baseline that is not being addressed, and that is your nervous system and the stored imprints from the past.

Again, Without trying to sound rude, I don't give a shit about your story. Like I don't, and not in a non-empathetic way. I have a shit ton of empathy, but that's not why we get to the root cause. It's not just so we can talk about the past. It's so that we can, I, I actually with you will, will help you to have those emotions arise that just need to be felt and need to be digested.

So your nervous system is like, oh my God, I can stand down. I don't need to protect this motherfucker for the next 30 years. We're good. We're all good. And then all of a sudden your baseline goes from like a low level to a high level of like, holy [00:40:00] shit, this is good. This also means now you can receive more and this can play out in business as far as finances. This can play out in romantic relationships. This can play out in your health. This can even play out in like voice and expression. That's another one that gets overlooked. You can also find that you have. Less resistance around speaking up online or speaking in groups.

Maybe it's, for instance, this podcast, I had to do nervous system work before I even launched. Controversial as fuck. I've been doing nervous system work for years because of this exact reason. Get to the root cause. Why do I feel like I can't X, Y, Z? Why do I have so much resistance about X, Y, Z? And no, again, I don't go and spiral in the past and go to every single experience from my past.

There's only been a few. There's only been a few key pivotal moments. All the other life experiences just reinforce that original root cause. Let me make that clear. If [00:41:00] you get to that original root cause, it can also help to reverse the effects on your body that every single life imprint life. Experience from them that kept reinforcing that original belief. Those also get addressed as well. You just need to get to the original root cause and that can be from this lifetime. For some people it's from previous lifetimes. That's a whole nother kettle of fish, but. It's happened in sessions. Anyway, I love your guts.

I hope that's been a massive light bulb for you. So if you're doing everything and you're like, I don't know what else to do, I've literally tried everything. This is it. You haven't tried everything. You haven't. You haven't addressed your nervous system, and I can help you with that.
